I could DIE!

Okay, so maybe dying is a bit of a rash statement, but I'm really freaking out about wanting to go! I seriously think it could be one of the coolest events EVER. The agenda looks like it would really be a lot of fun. Paper, fabric, jewelry... everything a gal could want to get her hands dirty with. It's not looking too good for me to go, but a girl can always hope for miracles!

Just another reason

I probably have 500 reasons that I love summer. But right now, the fact that I can wear these beauties at work with an awesome pedicure is reason #1!

What are the chances?

Can parenting a teenager actually be the death of you? The Eldest is making me a fair bit crazy these days. I can hardly believe he will be 17 next week. He and I have been through a lot together in his short 17 years. It's been a lot of fun for me to look back and see how he's changed. It seems there is a new girl in his life these days. She's seems to keep him in line so I think she's okay. Her dad is a police officer so that's great; he can arrest him or shoot him if he gets out of line.

In other news, I won a six month membership to The Girls Loft kit club!! I'm so excited. I'm dying to get my first shipment. Maybe I'll rock that kit so hard they'll ask me to be on the design team (a girls gotta have dreams, ya know)! Stay tuned and I'll post my fabo winnings so you can drool over the coolness.

Photoshop Hell

Okay, so after much aggravation, I got the blog title back up on my fabulous new header.  This is a great accomplishment for me since Photoshop is the bane of my existence.  I've never been able to master anything on it, but was feeling pretty darn good about the header.  So the more I look at it, I'm not happy with the font for the title.  Searching the innards of my precious Mac, I found that NONE of them suited me or my new background.  So question of the day:  What free font sites do you use?

Sweet Jesus above, it's heaven in a box!  And while you're there, look around a bit because I love this idea and hope to see big things from this site.  Life's mush easier when someone else can weed out the crap products for me.  I should have some layout love to post soon (SSHHH... Coming Home

Can someone tell me how I missed this? As you know by the snazzy new blog background, I have been to the House of 3 website and although I'm not a digital scrapper, I'm feeling really good about a few of the things they have there. So when I saw that they had their housewarming, I was grabed by the door projects on the from page of the site. I've been thinking about home a lot these days. It maybe because I'm traveling a bit more for work, but I think it's becuase of the boys. My boys will be 13 and 17 this summer. The Boy is gradually spending more and more time with friends and less with us as a family and it's starting to make me sad. Other Boy is still around, so that's comforting, but I know the day will come when he will be hanging out at other peoples houses too. I'm struggling with the age old questions, "Am I holding on too tight?" "Am I still protecting him, or am I protecting too much?" I know I'm not the first to ask these questions, nor am I going to be the last. But these are my questions in this moment and I have no answers. I hope I've done a good job for them. I hope I've made their house the home they will always want to come home to. What makes your house a home? I'm not alone in this feeling am I?
